2 problems with this scene. 1 - The drive from Chicago to NYC is roughly 12 to 13 hours and not 18 hours. 2 - University of Chicago is in Hyde Park which is south of downtown. They are driving south on Lake Shore drive (5:29) which means their beginning point would have been to the north of the city, which is not the case.
