| Wall-E is a rather complex film especially thematically when compared to other Disney films; it has been imbued with the essence of comedy, yet at the same time it is darkly satirical (just consider the setting of the film). This may pose problems for kids to understand the film completely. Nevertheless, I think that Wall-E is definitely a breakthrough in the series of Disney films, and should be made comparable to the Dark Knight, only in a less morbid and upsetting way. | |
