Not at all, he's right on point. This band is insanely weak, this faux Lo-Fi Pitchfork garbage is awful. There is no reason to produce a band in this manner except to hide bad musicianship and add substance where there is none. It's the same thing Wavves does, nobody in the band can play their instruments, so they drown it reverb to make it sound denser. This is not a band so much as an example of hipster denial.

Wow, Litherland is missing the point. You are the pretentious one, dumbass. The mix of this song is awesome, and creates a wall of sound. It's the style they want, get over it. While this song is my least favorite I've heard, it's still great for what they are going for. And who said this was punk? Geez man. Check out the video/song "When I'm gone.", you might like it better.

I have to Agree. I just read a review in MOJO December Issue and really there is not much going on here that you wouldn't find in any high school band. Drumming is out at 0:29. The mix is bad, vocals are buried in the guitar noise. Punk is supposed to be rough & ready but this sits between being rough but produced to sound cool It's pretentious. The drummer seems the most human but the other two are just posers. Who cares if they're sexy. Lots of sexy girls dont play instruments very well.

The best way to listen to Moped Girls is to TURN THE VOLUME ALL THE WAY UP! This is a great video of The Vivian Girls. Ali looks really really really cool playing the drums here!
