Jeremy Clarkson is a pretty good driver, IMO.
@EcksBawks This ...   (Yellowcard7777)20.3.2010
@EcksBawks This makes the air flow tighter around the car, reducing drag like crazy. Theres where the real improvements should be done.
@EcksBawks The ...   (Yellowcard7777)20.3.2010
@EcksBawks The reason for making and buying one of these cars, is so that you can drive them. These cars are made to be driven. not just to do a 1/4 mile. And if you pot "smart" spoilers in there. You will have spoilers that fold away and don't effect the drag. And if we shall go in to the discussion of drag, (yes i now that spoilers use drag to push the car down) then the whole bodywork should be redone. I'm not talking about changing it's shape, but to use "shark skin" on the car.

@Yellowcard7777 The ...   (EcksBawks)19.3.2010
@Yellowcard7777 The lack of a wing also reduces its drag coefficient, thus raising it's top speed. At the speeds those cars can reach, drag kills. That's also why the Veyron's wing is so variable. They're both very clever cars, but the 'segg has to make due with a bit less. And you're not going to buy this for just going around corners, are you?
@mystery55100 at ...   (2thermal)19.3.2010
@mystery55100 at that speed it dosent matter if you have carbonfibre or not it hink? and it is a koenigsegg v8
@EcksBawks Yes but ...   (Yellowcard7777)19.3.2010
@EcksBawks Yes but does it mater when you can't keep up in the corners? Yes I know that the newer koenigsegg was faster around the track vs the veyron, if You do the spoiler thing in the front and rear (see my older com en this vid) along or without 4wd, it would compensate enough to make no difference, except that you end up with a more stable car
An AWD system would ...   (EcksBawks)19.3.2010
An AWD system would completely undermine the whole carbon-fibre body thing. My Audi is debilitatingly heavy because of it, and the 'segg needs to shed every pound it can to keep up with that damn Veyron.
@paultje2small I ...   (Yellowcard7777)18.3.2010
@paultje2small I know. The problem is to much power, with a 4wd system you would spred the power more eavenly, if ju distribute the torque like 70/30% or 80/20%, you would still have all the characteristics of a rwd but it would use the power more efficient at lower speed, where most of the handling problems lies.
@Yellowcard7777 ...   (paultje2small)18.3.2010
@Yellowcard7777 also this car is faster around the lap then a buggati veyron which is 4wd
@Yellowcard7777 no ...   (paultje2small)18.3.2010
@Yellowcard7777 no rwd is more fun and i think 4wd is overrated and the new cars have a spoiler

wen was this car made?
hmm carbon fibre ...   (mystery55100)18.3.2010
hmm carbon fibre aye, light? at a speed like that a crash would be fatal, oh and when was this car made and is it v12 or 8?
I know that low ...   (Yellowcard7777)17.3.2010
I know that low weight is essential to a good car, but if it is possible, couldn't koenigsegg putt a 4wd system, 30/70% in there? That along with a spoiler in the back and a channel that went from the nose through the trunk and up in front of the windshield. You would gain down force without adding windresistance. this and an adjustble "lip" in front of the channel, would improve handling. It should also prevent the car from skidding sideways (because of 4dw) if you would lose traction.

I like this car, ...   (JJ388JAr)17.3.2010
I like this car, but to me, it was one major flaw, its engine. A car of these looks and this price should by no means have a V8, epically one with forced induction, it ruins the sound completely. A was with looks as exotic as this needs an engine to not only back it up in power (which it does) but it also just as importantly needs the sound. And we all know you won't get that from a V8 (other than Ferrari). This car needs a big displacement V10 or V12
@pokecrud anythings ...   (JJ388JAr)17.3.2010
@pokecrud anythings possible with forced induction man, to me its almost like cheating. you can take a 2.0 inline 4 and make it produce that much hp if you want to, even if it would be pointless
