Saw the Beach Boys in 1962 -- before their first song showed up on radio. They played at Belmont Park, a San Diego amusement park and a couple of my junior high school friends who were surfers said we had to hear these guys from LA. My first concert and maybe the most memorable almost 50 years later.

I remember seeing this video on the BBC television show,"Top Of The Pops." That was back in the spring of 1966. The song still sounds as fresh today as it did then.

I didn't really know what this song was all about when I was a kid and first heard it, but I loved the melody, and even now it's one of my favorite songs ever. "I feel so broke up, I want to go home." Everyone can relate to that :)
