I did, and I loved it every bit of it. The trick is to eat it indoors, so you get accommodated to the smell. No Swede I know eats the fish straight out of the tin, though. Get some almond potatoes, chopped red onion and thin, soft bread. Some eat it with milk, I prefer Baltic porter and a nice aquavit.
