Related by Destiny Amara remembers the past when she met Michelle, who told her that she has a destiny to be Sailor Uranus. She refused that destiny, for she loved her life too much and was afraid of change. The thing is, they're not "lesbians". It appears that way because they made Uranus a girl for American sakes. In japan, Amara is a guy who turns into a female when they transform because all the scouts are female. In season five, the sailor stars are three males but are three female scouts. You see one the stars flirting with Serena alot, even up to the end.

I really hate that they made them cousins. They fact that they are in fact together in the original and have their little flirty moments even without audio makes it seems like they're cousins that has the hots for each other.
