Also Parkinson is JUST an interviewer thats it can he paint? can he act? can he write music? The answer is a resounding NO! What else can he do except prostitute himself on someone elses fame and talent. Parkinson has NO talent, except for asking questions of famous people. Thats it. No more and no less.

Parkinson was way out of his depth with Ryan. His questions were stunted, and Ryan's answers were intelligent and truthful.

After what I'd heard about this, I was expecting to see Parkinson as the consummate gent to an ungracious, unresponsive Meg Ryan. To my surprise, what I saw was Meg Ryan caught off balance for a moment by an off-the-wall remark, then doing her best to hold an intelligent conversation,​ with Parkinson being boorish and really quite aggressive. I think Miss Ryan's drawn the short straw here. And I'm British. This just shows how important it is to see the evidence before passing judgement.

Parkinson shows a level of rudeness here which i didn't previously expect from such an experienced interviewer. Meg consistently answers his (sometimes facaecious) questions intelligently​ and he calls her "weary" too much. Then, the bar-wench known as Susannah makes a meaow comment about her shoes. Total immature crap. God bless Meg.

Ugh... Meg Ryan may not be the most warm outgoing person, but the fact is, the host is really the one in the position of power to direct the interview, and it's their job to make their guest comfortable so that it will go smoothly. If you come to a conversational dead end, you move on. You don't say something rude like "well I guess were not going to get anywhere with that".

Sorry I disagree. I think her negativity and curt answers right at the begining set the tone for the interview, and Parky clearly decides... 'OK if she's gonna play it this way i'll play it back'

Yeah, I don't know what everyone is bitching about. I think this is a good interview. It started off awkward. Obviously Meg Ryan doesn't have much to say about fashion, but once they got to talking about her movie I thought she gave interesting answers. Parkinson just seems kind of blunt and not used to dealing with more reserved people to me.

"this guy" happens to be one of the best interviewers on the planet. she was totally boring with short answers it sounded like he was trying to get water from stone.
