parkinson was amazing. Only Michael parkinson, and James Lipton are the two people in the world that could ever be described as true interviewers.​ They dug deep inside peoples minds in order to get a true look at the real person. Not like Johnathon Ross or David Letterman who thrive on mocking and interegating thier interviewees into details of thier latest scandals in the most unsubttle ways possible. Parkinson labeled parts 1 to 3 and made each interview a ten minute biography of someones life

Its not her fault. The interviewer (the guy) is terrible, at least in this. I'm sure he's a fine fellow, but I think their chemistry got off on the wrong foot and each question just gets more and more awkward. He had no where to go and she was just along for the ride.

I don't understand what makes you think she was showing "disdain". Did any words come out of her mouth that were mean spirited? She looks kinda scary when she gets nervous, but other than that I think either she misunderstood​ what she was getting into, or Parkinson didn't understand who he was dealing with. And if he wanted to make her feel more comfortable he could have just moved on to a new question.

no I am not American, just live here, and got used to the US shows, which are lighter in style than Parky's. Not unlike Jonathan Ross or Wogan (if he still does it)

I am not dissing the sense of humour. It's the style of interview. Here is what Meg Ryan said about it: "it's not like an American talk show where it's seven minutes and then there's a commercial break. I had to do 20 minutes straight with this guy, and I could either walk off - which wouldn't be good - or try to disagree with him very respectfully.​"
