There's sketch where Eric & Ernie end up facing a firing squad. As the camera pans away at the end, you see the laughing officer who gave the command is Des! There's​ some brilliant ad libbing here. M&W rehearsed most of their material, but when the ad libs crept in, it was comic gold, and the fact that Des joined in with the ad libs shows how much fun they were all having.
