I think he is a genius. He has lots of different characters and has a personality assigned each of them. You can't tell what the Jon is actually like, because he surprises you with something new every time you see him, his live or recorded performances (that are always flawless). By that, the nearest person i could compare him to is Andy Kaufman: devoted artist and comedian. It's in his bones.
