The rope saved him and cost him the fight at the same time , had the rope not save him he would have fell and suffered a Knock Down and recovered just like he and Foreman did in the previous Rounds. Since the rope held him up and he did not go down, he stayed there and took more punishment, and at last he fell and couldn't recover.

He actually has THREE rings.2 with dallas and then one with SF......And as far as Norton Sr, you are right......He​ DID beat Ali twice........​The Holmes fight could've went either way. That was one of those fights where no matter WHO won, the other could make an argument that HE won....It was THAT close.......T​he fight was scored 143-142 on ALL three cards......

dream-19 is true. Ken Norton, Sr. is a hard luck person, to, to, to be sure. The man beat Holmes, Ali twice but was given nothing to show for it. Son Ken Norton, Jr. has at least one S/B ring--played for Dally v the Buffalo Bills.
