@mojoidol like a child you have to resort to insults. Lewis WAS a big money fight after Holyfield. But like I said if you can read, the Holyfield fight HAD to happen when it did or it wouldn't have. Like you said, Holyfield was considered past his prime so if they didn't fight then they wouldn't have. As far as the Foreman step aside money comment, I misread you fucking asshole. But think about it; What did Tyson have to gain by fighting Foreman? He was making 15-20 mil. per fight. what's 5mil?

Never said George was paid step aside money. Are you able to read or are you just punch drunk? Tyson was a fraud. He refused to fight the best fighters during his prime. The chump was a coward. A club fighter named Douglas knocked Tyson out. Holyfield who was past his prime and considered washed up, destroyed Tyson. Lewis was the big money fight. You're clueless.

@mojoidol George was never paid any step aside money. George wasn't even a ranked contender while Tyson was on top. Where do you get your info? There would be no need to pay George step aside money when he's not ranked. There was no reason what so ever for Mike to fight George at that time. He DID pay Lewis. But let's be honest. Holyfield is where the big money was at then. That fight had to happen when it did or it never would have happened. Too bad you don't know much about boxing.

Tyson was offered $5,000,000 to fight Foreman, Tyson(Don King) turned him down. Tyson paid Lennox Lewis $4,000,000 to step aside so he could fight a washed up Holyfield. Tyson was a fraud. Foreman would have destroyed him.

@mojoidol So many people talk that crap just because they never fought. That was propaganda stirred up by the Foreman camp. A serious discussion of a fight with Foreman never came up and Tyson lost the title before George even moved up enough to be considered a real threat. Yeah, he had the power, but no where near the speed Tyson had and all it would take is a good combo or two. You forget it was late '87 when Foreman came back. Tyson was at his peak then. He would have killed George.

34 unanswered punches. no way do any of today's fighters measure up to the crop of about 7 famous heavyweights of the 70's. Ali, Fraiser, Foreman, Norton, Shavers,Young, Lyle. And the 4 welterwights of the 80's. Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, & Duran. Who's famous now? What? Little skanky Philipino Manny Paciao? Oh, it ain't NUTHIN'like it used to be back then. People on the street knew fighters names. Today, nobody can name any current boxers. So, bravo the 70's & 80's. Fighters with personalities​.
