DigInfo - http://movie.diginfo.tv - Related Link: http://www.eliica.com/ With hybrid cars gaining popularity with manufacturers and consumers alike, Keio University have developed a prototype electric car which can reach speeds in excess of 370 km/h. This version of the car is able to go from zero to 100km/h in 4 seconds, and using Lithium-Ion batteries can travel 200km. Each of the cars 8 wheels are connected to an electric motor which can deliver a combined 640hp. The car is not yet being produced in commercial quantities but the projected price of the first run of cars is approximately US$255,000 each.

Righto, QuantumCarl. As a man with a BSc in Energy Management, no psychological​ problems, and as a self-identify​ing "green freak" I take exception to that comment. Do you know that Spain now generates over 1/4 of their electricity from wind? Its not what I'd call "small scale". Look at PV in Germany. Look at Wind in northern Europe and China. When you kids find some Lyndon La Rouche or similar and stop reading about anything but nuclear, from the Pro side only, you sound like fools.

I mean honestly. This is really what women do. They get all riled up and then start throwing out emotional comments and shit. However, batteries hurt the environment too, and the gains are just too small. I mean, the Volt tries hard, but it's still churning fuel. c) What the fuck shit is that supposed to be about? Nuclear energy is clean. Coal is just plain SHIT. Yes there is always newer technology, but solar isn't the way to go. Wind power and Ocean generators are neat ideas and could work on small scales, but ultimately "green" freaks don't understand the concept of proper energy generation. ​They're also all crazy.

It doesn't cost more to produce. Electricity comes from somewhere, it costs money to produce also. I can make hydrogen in my garage or basement. The​ reason we haven't changed over is not due to money grubbling, it's due to reliability. The piston engine is tried and true, and the wankel too, AND the turbine engine. I didn't at any point say you were a male or female, but now that I know it makes more sense. Women tend to get overly defensive and emotional about these things.....
