Yes we eat it once a year in north of sweden, its tradition. It smells a lot(i really mean a lot) and has a lot of taste. I taste good though, we eat it with potatoes, union, bread och tomatoes.

Well I actually like surströmming​ one of the best camping foods I've found but that's just my taste. Durian fruit has the same problem it smells bad but tastes great, I would eat both more often but would probably get kicked out of my apartment....​ Fact is even if you don't like it many do so don't say it tastes bad just say you don't like it.
