Think about this: Tennis back then was a popular enough sport with a popular enough star that when you saw a commercial like this, your first immediate thought was that it wasn't implausible. haha I can't imagine Federer or even Roddick doing the same commercial with The Jonas Brothers(bad example, but I couldn't think of any other current group) or whoever today.

Sorry, but Andre retired because he had too many injuries and chronic problems with his back. Still was awesome, but he could not beat Roger at that time and at that specific situation. However the best Andre is better than Roger, and so is the best Sampras.

GREAT! I had forgot about this one. Andre didn't retire because he "Had to"...He retired because he chose to. When he retired he was in GREAT shape, feeling good, and still of top of his game. He, and some other tennis Greats such as: Johnny Mac, Billie Jean King, Jimmy Connors, Martina Navitrolova, and Chris Everett have teamed up at a special school teaching and coaching tennis. Andre is now the Spoksman for the NTA.

Fantastic - Thank you for posting it. I've never seen this AD before and now I can't stop watching it. Anthony Kiedis is my hero and Andre's my favourite tennis player. Shame he had to retire. Cheers!
