@papagamias But what if the road is bombed by 4 Frogfoot ground attack planes, then your rugged planes will have to construct another runway which cost time. The Harriers would be able to retaliate with such an air attack and destroy the Frogfoots base then land elsewhere and relocate another base with no runway.

@blackrob2002​ Yes the Argies did have air to air missiles, the sidewinder 9B, but the Skyhawks didn't. The RN Harriers had the latest 9L sidewinder that could be fired behind and head on.

Harrier is an amazing airplane made out by the excellent British aerospace engineering (that British tried hard and almost killed...). ​However, it remaines an overly expensive airplane that necessarily needs half its fuel capacity to do its tricks thus without offering many other real advantages. ​Thus it is an airplane that few armies ever needed. A rugged airplane that can land or take off in a small distance from a rough road could do the job for most other armies.

Falklands war the British Harriers took out Argentine planes with the newest AIM-9 sidewinders of the time, and Argen's didn't even have air to air missiles lol. It's a good strike fighter I'll give it that but if it got into dogfights it would not do good. American F-22 is the best say what u want but thats what technology is making it harder to kill and deadlier. You say no balls but I don't see you piloting fighter aircraft at mach2 doin crazy stuff

Falklands war it did Argentinians got some of the Russians. Americans call their planes fighters but they are not. they are no good for quick evasive maneuvers, if a missile is fired at the f22 its either long gone because it knew it had been targeted or flying out of missile range high up in the atmosphere. You may think its a good thing but whats the point of calling your planes fighters when they only run away or never were there. there is no balls in it America. you have no balls.

With no combat losses to. It is one of the best fighters, but the Royal Air force also makes the harrier a great plane. To this day it is still one of my favorite.
