@casuallybusy most of the music in the 90s and 00s is lame garbage. Lots of people pretending to be folk artists.
Additionally... ...   (DjJohnnyM68)9.2.2010
Additionally...Breakfast Club had "kiss and tell" #48pop, 'never be the same' #8 club chart, and "expressway to your heart" #30 club chart. Depending on which country you're in...Kajagoogoo had more than two hits.."ooh to be ahh' and 'big apple' were hits in the uk..These are just the facts..and not designed to say that they are the best hits or even good ones in some cases...just the facts.
Here's instances of ...   (DjJohnnyM68)9.2.2010
Here's instances of these bands having more than one hit single: After The Fire-dancing in the shadows #85, Kajagoogoo-hang on now #78, GTR-the hunter #85, Midnight Oil-blue sky mine#47, as well as "the dead heart" #53, Timex social club did have only one hit, but had two singles making top 20 r&b. Climie Fisher had other hits as part of Naked Eyes, as well as Rise to the occasion in the uk. When in Rome-heaven knows #95, as well as Sight Of your Tears #40 club chart,
yea..Blue Sky Mine ...   (DjJohnnyM68)9.2.2010
yea..Blue Sky Mine is another one.. and there was another one besides that...my memory goes blank on the title tho..
almost any chart ...   (DjJohnnyM68)9.2.2010
almost any chart music of the 80s kicks the chart music of today in the ass... but then again..i'm a dj so i'm a whore..haha ..granted..but there was so much more than just middle of the road hits..Try Social Distortion, The Cure, Modern English (life in the gladhouse), Oingo Boingo (grey matter), 1927, Skinny Puppy, Front 242, early Ministry, Depeche Mode, Hunters and Collectors, Inxs, Eurogliders, Ian Dury and the Blockheads, Public Image Ltd., Nitzer Ebb, Gene Loves Jezebel..etc etc
You had to be there ...   (Siegecats)8.2.2010
You had to be there to appreciate it. Those who weren't have no idea of what the world was like..there was money back then..and love was on the free airwaves.
To those naysayers ...   (wyattspop)6.2.2010
To those naysayers bashing 80's music, if you're young and basing it on this compilation, you're simply being misdirected. No less than half these choices don't belong on a "best of" list, "Life is Life"? R U serious? The 80's was great Techno, Rockabilly and Ska, it wasn't "Livin' in a Box" for Pete's sake! Today is "bust a cap" and "My Ho's"...Lame, unless you hate women. Go try the Stray Cats, English Beat, Thompson Twins, early Duran Duran, keep your "complaint rock" to yourselves.
Sadly, to produce a ...   (casuallybusy)4.2.2010
Sadly, to produce a one-hit wonder of the 90's and 00's would take all of the storage capabilites of planet Earth... Not quite sure which is the scariest; the statement above, or that 80's music was so good :)

What's really sad? ...   (busterapeture)31.1.2010
What's really sad? As bad as this music is, it kicks every bit of the music on today's pop charts ass! Today's music is blander than plain rolled oats mixed with yesterday's newspaper. I look forward to listening to it like I looked at my great grandmothers breasts that day about twenty six years ago, as I passed by my sisters room, not a care in the world about anything until I glanced through that open door and there they were. I think I'll go lay down now. It's so cold! So cold...
