When I hear Hansen talk I get the same goosebumps as when as I used to listen to Carl Sagan. The man is genuine. A marvel of honest earthly engineering. When I hear the likes of 'Lord' Christopher Monckton - one of the chief exponents of sceptic (& oil funded dross) I hear nothing but cynical, cold and calculating salesmanship. Honesty and belief, as any top shrink will tell you, doesn't need inflection - it just flows out of the neurons. Keep true Jim. We'll win in the end.

Actually what was "false" was BP Piken's Plan Supplying all of US with Electricity with 200 windmills as a Ex-Oilman when 1)The 2 million dollar each Windmills are owned by Shell 2)The Windmills in question are DC which means they are incompatible with the national grid and couldn't send power that far 3)Each windmill can only power 500 homes Also problem with making Cars run on Natural Gas as a viabile alternative being "false" is bulk of Natural Gas in US is from oil distilation

A​tmospheric CO2 is rising 2ppm per year (0.5%), TWICE that of 50 years ago, and CO2 levels are 35% above the highest levels for 650,000 years. 85% of our CO2 is dissolved in the oceans, and in 30 years CO2 will reach 450ppm which most oceanographers warn will acidify oceans enough to interfere with the growth of many calcium carbonate forming planktons and corals. They make the base of the ocean's food chain.

The fact that GHG retain heat and act like a warm blanket is not a theory, it's a well known fact. How much temps will rise and what to do about it is debatable. H​owever, Temps have spiked 0.4C in 30 years with no increase in Solar radiation. 50% of the arctic and mountain glaciers have already disappeared. Plants, animals and insects are all migrating north. In twenty years most Tibetan Plateau glaciers and Andean glaciers will be gone and major rivers will be going dry in the summer.

Saw a video by Dr. Christy (2/12/09), a well known climate denier from Univ. of Alabama. He admitted temps are rising 0.14C/10yrs. That's 0.42C per 30 years, which is slightly higher than my quote of 0.4C in the last 30 years. He also said CO2 is rising 0.6%/year.
