The German Shepherd Dog (GSD, also known as an Alsatian), (German: Deutscher Schäferhund) is a breed of large-sized dog that originated in Germany. German Shepherds are a relatively new breed of dog, whose origins date to 1899. As part of the Herding group, the German Shepherd is a working dog developed originally for herding sheep. Because of their strength, intelligence and abilities in obedience training they are often employed in police and military roles, in forces around the world. @MrNoob4real You can go to a shelter, or you can get books at your local bookstore or library.They are very stong, active dogs.They need walks regularly, lots of space.big beds or they will sleep with you or take over your couch.They are very loyal and very protective.But all around great family dogs.

hi guys.. i just need some info, i got a german shepherd pup from ma friend its 5 to 6 weeks old, its the first time i have a german shepherd, at first i had bull terriers. my pup's one ear is pointed up, straight n second ear is totally down, so i just want toask is it normal coz ma friend said it will be fine with age n time. if anyone here is an expert or have knowledge then plz guide me. thanks.

@MrNoob4real I have a 2 Doberman Pinscher and they require daily walks I walk both for 2 hours one is the morning the other one in the afternoon. but don't forget training is vital it helps stimulate their mind
