Each to their own? you say whilst telling someone what to believe? If someone finds the accent, accent not language funny then they can. Saying each to their own indicates you agree with me but you can't if you agree with the M155SG guy

I think MI55SG is trying to shed some light rather than hating. Aramaic is the language jesus spoke in and is the language the bible was written in. It is a very special language that should be respected, and i agree with MI55SG. Each to their own i guess.

wow... let the guy be man... don't hate him... it's new to him... and can't a guy find some things funny now... don't be sensitive on everything... and they way you said your statement is not amusing at all.

This is a pretty old language, one that came thousands of years before the language you speak today. i don't find aramaic funny. And by the way, the meaning of the prayer and translation into englsh, it totally looses its meaning. Maybe thats whats funny.

Hi, yes the spelling is correct only the b in aboon is pronounced, awoon. The b has a dot under it that changes the sound. english grammer does not have these accents in its alphabet so it sounds inconsistant. ie. Aramaic to english. Thank you. But it is a very beautiful prayer. 22 letters in aramaic but with the accents applicable to each character it covers a "much" greater range. English has 26. But with little variation and range. ;)

Actually you are wrong, there is no such people or tribe as "armeans". And Assyrians do speak a form of Aramaic. I know because i am assyrian and i can read &write in aramaic. The variation is forms of aramaic dependant on region of mesopotamia you originate. And the language is still used and very alive through out the world.

JFRD28...Mate, read KALKONSTEKs profile and you will see how he is only trying to cause trouble. So before you jump into make a comment i advise do some research. A prayer to the lord how ever funny has meaning, and to say its funny is a sign of disrespect. Ok!!! I agreee with MI55SG
